Darrin Rogers is the founder and Managing Partner of Rogers & Company PLLC. He has over 35 years of diversified public accounting experience with a special focus in the not-for-profit industry. Darrin is widely recognized for possessing exceptional technical expertise in both audit and tax, as well as being highly accessible and attentive towards his clients. Professional and approachable, he provides substantive business insight while developing viable solutions to complex problems tax-exempt organizations face.

In addition to being the firm’s Managing Partner, Darrin oversees audits for some of the firm’s largest nonprofit clients. He has consulted with clients on a broad range of business and technical topics, including risk assessment and management, financial accounting and reporting, tax compliance and planning, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic business management. His experience includes overseeing financial statement audits under both U.S. and international standards, OMB Circular audits, due diligence and agreed-upon procedures engagements, benchmarking studies, and exempt tax compliance and reporting. He has taught courses on emerging nonprofit technical issues at national conferences and educational institutions, and makes numerous presentations annually to Boards and executives on audit, tax, and financial accounting matters, as well as industry trends.

Darrin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia, Maryland, DC, and New York, and a Certified Management Accountant. He’s a member of the American Society of Association Executives, Greater Washington Society of CPAs, American Institute of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants. He graduated from Radford University in Radford, Virginia with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and a Minor in Mathematics. While at Radford University, Darrin achieved state and national honors in accounting, and was President of the university’s Accounting Society.

Prior to starting the firm in 2003, Darrin worked in the Washington, DC offices of Price Waterhouse LLP, Deloitte & Touche LLP, and Grant Thornton LLP where he served as Director of Assurance Services for the Nonprofit Industry Practice.
